The long awaited "Locked Mode" in Google Forms has arrived. With this new feature (currently in Beta), you have the option of creating quizzes in Google Forms that will lock the Chrome browser to the quiz tab and prevent students from opening any additional tabs. This effectively mimics other test-taking apps like the CAASPP, and allows students to focus on the Google Form quiz without distraction, and without the ability to search for answers on the web.

Note: this will only work if students take the quiz on a SPUSD Chromebook.

Let's take a look at how to take advantage of this powerful new teaching tool through Google Classroom. Click through the slides to see a step-by-step walkthrough:

Please let me know if you have any questions on how to integrate this into your classroom. Enjoy!
